Marchi & Fildi and Filidea present their Flat Knitting Collection for Autumn/Winter 2022-2023

The evolution of the Filidea Knitting collection develops from three historical articles, revisited with GOTS-certified fibres: WOOLCOT, a blend of organic cotton and extra-fine Merino wool; CLEOPATRA and SELENE, both in organic cotton and cashmere. These qualities represent the DNA from which the contemporary Filidea concept grows; they are available in a wide range of neutral colours, that favour a tendency towards soft tones.
The importance of pure fibres in the finest of yarns for high-quality knitwear is represented by KOJI, a yarn in 100% top-grade Mulberry silk which made its debut in the summer collection, with a trans-seasonal weight and available in stock service; and GEOFFREY, extra-fine chlorine-free Merino wool which introduces the SustainaWOOL™ Integrity Scheme.
The collection proposes stylistic research for a new exclusivity with a selection of yarns in blends of natural origins that are also GRS-certified and biodegradable and based on Bemberg™ Cupro, silk, cashmere and extra-fine chlorine-free wools. Bemberg™ Cupro, a versatile fibre with a regenerated cellulose base derived from cotton, makes up at least 50% of the composition of the yarns OLEG, GUY, MARIANO and SCOTT. It is the inspiration for sophisticated knitwear realised in the finest of yarns, pleasant to the touch, exquisitely soft, fluid and with a drape suitable to all weaves and volumes which tend towards knitwear.
Filidea technical know-how enables us to create new blends harmoniously mixing the properties and hands of Bemberg™ Cupro with the different natural fibres, offering quite bright effects, sophisticated false plains, micro-movements and irregular looks which are all the result of the different absorption of the dyes and the reflection of the light.
As a consequence of the excellent dyeing characteristics of the Bemberg™ Cupro, the colour palette offers 40 new tones ranging from the renewal of classic, reassuring colours to a range of vibrant, if not completely winter tones such as cerulean blue, light moss green and coral pink.

The new FW collection is full of interseasonal and versatile yarns, with medium weights to interpret the seasonless trend.
Among the cotton blends, the qualities POLARIS and PHOENIX have the GRS certification and are developed with the ECOTEC® technology, using pre and post-consumer textile leftovers to create high quality new yarns.
ACCADEMIA, the yarn in Lenzing™ Ecovero™ viscose, has a revised shade card. It is the symbol of comfort-stretch viscose, with a fresh and sprint handfeel, ideal for knitwear.
Purely winter yarns privilege blends with wool, characterized by tweed and moulinè effects.
Violet, the season trend of knitwear, is strongly present in this collection with intense nuances, deep aubergine shades and violets dissolving into blue or crimson.
