Filidea, filati italiani per la moda contemporanea

The Filidea brand is synonymous with Italian style, creativity and innovation. The company’s range includes yarns for flat and circular knitting, weaving and hosiery, developed and tested in Italy, in the Marchi & Fildi Group’s own Research and Development department.

Filidea shares the Marchi & Fildi Group’s yarn-making tradition and know-how, as well as its orientation toward sustainable innovation. It also benefits from Filidea Technical Yarns division’s know-how in the area of technical yarns, offering the fashion industry high-performance products reflecting today’s international tastes.

A preference for natural fibres, top yarn performance, and environmental sustainability in all areas are the key values behind Filidea’s collections, responding to the needs and sensibility of today’s fashion brands. Its product range includes versatile yarns in contemporary taste primarily targeting the medium to high end of the fashion market.

Natural biodegradable fibres include silk, European Flax linen, RWS wool, GOTS cotton and Bemberg™ Cupro, a regenerated cellulose fibre, either or pure or in blends. Many of the company’s products are certified under widely recognised international environmental standards such as GOTS. Yarn counts are fine and ultra-fine, primarily for flat knitting, with a feel appropriate for today’s knitwear trends.

Filidea guarantees a high level of customer service, rapid, dependable delivery times, and continuity in its product range.

Production sustainability and quality certification

Filidea is 9001 and 14.001 certified.

14.001 certification is based on an environmental management standard, demonstrating that the Group has an appropriate system for monitoring the environmental impact of its work and is constantly striving to improve its sustainability.

Sustainability of production processes is a key element of Filidea yarns, which are dyed in Marchi & Fildi’s ecological cone dyeing plant in Magnonevolo, near Biella, and subjected to total control of the production process and supply chain. Packaging and tape are repulpable or compostable.
